The mission statement of The Quarter Project is “To promote young women in STEM academics and careers by offering resources, education, and hands-on experience primarily, although not exclusively, for minority & low-income girls.” Our target population of girls is mainly from socio-economically and racially marginalized families in Northern Colorado. Our programs aim to boost self-confidence and efficacy levels among girls in general and specifically from marginalized populations in K-5, thus enabling them to pursue careers in STEM fields through after-school educational programs.
