
CAP is a recipient of the Million Girls Moonshot (MGM) grant, a movement that brings together resources and expertise from the afterschool and STEM fields to inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators. Learn more about the Million Girls Moonshot movement HERE.
MGM Special Opportunities provide direct support and resources to Network Staff, Moonshot Partners, Program Providers, and/or Field Staff that go deeper into Moonshot transformative practices in order to shift practice at the program level. These opportunities will provide capacity building through no cost professional development for Network STEM and Moonshot Partners or no cost training and curriculum for Program Providers and Field Staff.

Techbridge Girls Equity and Inclusion Community of Practice

Techbridge Girls is excited to announce that applications are being accepted to join the Fall 2023 STEM Equity Learning Community. All OST supervisors and administrators for programs that serve Black, Indigenous, and Latina girls and gender-expansive youth are encouraged to apply.
Participation in the CoP includes 5 sessions and stipends.
Techbridge Girls Curriculum Program with Training and Kits

To equip girls and gender-expansive youth to persist in STEM careers, Techbridge Girls supports educators in delivering STEM programs. Each of their services equips educators with gender- and culturally-responsive teaching tools to engage families to support youth persistence and connects girls to BIPOC peers and role models from STEM fields to inspire and encourage.
Participation includes educator training, all materials and a stipend.
Teen Science Cafe Moonshot Fellows

Teen Science Cafes are a free, fun way for teens to engage in lively conversations with STEM experts that explore the advances in science and technology that affect their lives. In these events, teens socialize over teen-friendly food and drink and have a lively conversation with local scientists and engineers about current cutting-edge developments in their fields, all in a relaxed and informal out-of-school setting. Teen Science Cafés are for teens, by teens. Teen organizers gain a host of leadership skills. Cafés are typically run about an hour and a half once per month during the school year.
A $2,500 stipend is provided to support the implementation of Teen Science Cafes.
