CAP's
Data Map
CAP's Data Map shows programs available around Colorado, and the deserts lacking any programs at all.
CAP's Advocacy for more funding for Afterschool is in a direct effort to fill these gaps in access.
Advocacy &
Awareness
CAP is part of a 50-State Network with national assistance in acquiring the latest data and outcomes of Afterschool. CAP worked with partners to pass HB-1331 for $3.5 Million for 3 years for Quality, Comprehensive, OST (Afterschool) Programming, and continues to raise awareness of the needs for and benefits of Out of School Time Programming, while advocating for sustainable funding through the statewide OST Coalition, the Fund IRL Coalition, and partnerships with multiple youth-serving stakeholders.
Professional Development & Resources
CAP provides professional development sessions throughout the year to support quality programming for our kids and families. CAP's Quality Action Team has developed the CAP Quality Guidelines for OST Programs.
Connection to Stakeholders & Other Collaborators
Connections made to peer organizations, funders, local and national resources, and support organizations such as Afterschool
Alliance, Denver Afterschool
Alliance, and more. CAP's Best of Colorado awards elevate the essential work of Out of School Time educators around the state.
