MindWorks Resources creates ready-to-run educational enrichment kits designed for afterschool, summer, and other out-of-school time settings. Their goal is straightforward: make it easier for educators and program staff to deliver engaging learning experiences without requiring extensive preparation or subject-matter expertise.

Created by a team with experience in education and afterschool programming, MindWorks kits combine essential materials with easy-to-follow activity guides so facilitators have what they need to get started.

The resources are designed to be adaptable, hands-on, and multisensory, helping young people build skills while exploring, collaborating, problem-solving, and creating.

MindWorks offers several types of enrichment experiences for young people from Pre-K through middle school.

Academic Enrichment provides standards-aware activities in science, math, and language arts for elementary and middle school students. The hands-on activities are designed to reinforce academic learning while making concepts engaging and accessible.

Creative and Collaborative Learning gives students opportunities to tackle open-ended, theme-based activities that encourage critical thinking, innovation, and teamwork.

Foundational Skill Building focuses on language, math, and science activities designed to strengthen core knowledge and help elementary learners close learning gaps.

For younger learners, Early Learning kits use play-based and interactive activities to develop early math and literacy skills for Pre-K and transitional kindergarten students.

MindWorks also offers experiences such as Imaginate and CoLab. CoLab, for example, uses a series of active group missions and creative strategy challenges to help students move from working as individuals toward functioning as a collaborative team. The experience focuses on communication, leadership, and what MindWorks calls “Extreme Teamwork”—learning how to bring out the best in the people around you.

Across its resources, the common thread is learning by doing. Young people aren’t simply receiving information; they are experimenting, creating, collaborating, and putting ideas into action.

For out-of-school time programs looking for structured enrichment without building every activity from scratch, MindWorks Resources offers another way to bring hands-on learning into the program day.
