Spotlight on Excellence: Shyana Holley and Zachary Brinkmann Go Above and Beyond at Eagle Ridge BASE

At Colorado Afterschool Partnership, we know that our programs thrive because of the dedicated individuals who go above and beyond for the students and families we serve. Today, we’re proud to highlight two outstanding team members—Shyana Holley and Zachary Brinkmann—for their exceptional care and commitment at the Eagle Ridge BASE after-school program.

On October 31, Shyana and Zach found themselves in a situation that required patience, professionalism, and compassion. Two students in their care experienced an unexpected delay in pick-up, remaining at BASE well past normal operating hours. While this could have been a stressful and unsettling experience for the children, Shyana and Zach transformed the situation into one filled with kindness and reassurance.

Throughout the extended wait, both Shyana and Zach demonstrated extraordinary poise. They kept the students engaged with fun activities, ensuring the children felt safe, calm, and cared for. They provided snacks to keep the kids comfortable and nourished, all while maintaining a supportive and positive atmosphere.

Beyond the emotional support they provided, Shyana and Zach diligently followed all safety protocols. They stayed in close communication with key contacts and took every precaution to ensure a secure environment for the students. Their professionalism, paired with their genuine concern for the children’s well-being, made all the difference. Their ability to remain calm, supportive, and proactive under unexpected circumstances speaks volumes about their character and the vital role they play in our community.

We are incredibly grateful for Shyana and Zach, and we are honored to recognize them for going the extra mile. They are truly a gift to the Eagle Ridge BASE program and to all who have the pleasure of working alongside them.
