CAP is pleased to provide this list of opportunities to seek funding to support afterschool and summer programs from private foundations, businesses, and public funding at the local, state and federal level.

Colorado Funding Sources

Colorado Department of Education

21^st Century Community Learning Center Grants. The only federal funding source dedicated exclusively to afterschool programs, the 21st CCLC program is a federal grant program for afterschool and summer program managed in our state by the Colorado Department of Education.

Tony Grampsas Youth Services (TGYS) Program

This statutory program provides funding to local organizations that work with youth and their families through programs designed to prevent youth crime and violence, youth marijuana use, and child abuse and neglect.

The PeyBack Foundation

Created by Denver Broncos’ quarterback Peyton Manning, the foundation awards grants of up to $10,000 for youth development programs in Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

The Afterschool Corporation

Provides the expanded learning time field, and all those who work with young people, with the latest public and private funding information, including ongoing funding sources as well as time-sensitive RFPs.

Afterschool Alliance

Maintains a searchable funding database for opportunities for afterschool programs.

Grants.gov

Focused on improving access to services via the Internet. It is currently the single access point for over 900 grant programs offered by 26 Federal grant-making agencies, allowing organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities.

Promoting Strong Colorado Out-of-School Time Partnerships

The Colorado Afterschool Partnership (CAP) is a growing network of youth service professionals, advocates and community stakeholders working to build a sustainable model of afterschool, out-of-school and summer systems that strengthen Colorado. CAP is part of the National Network of Statewide Afterschool Networks, funded in part by the C.S. Mott Foundation.
